Good morning. I ran across an article on CNN today, about Fatmire Feka and her remarkable story. I was moved to tears in my place of work. Words like remarkable, exemplary, and leader come to mind after reading it and finding her 2009 speech on your website.

I wanted to reach out to her and express my admiration, my heartfelt support and my support if I can. I truly believe in what both she and your organization are saying. Peace is not a dirty word. Hate is learned, and forgiveness is not just divine. It is a journey as she says, but it something we all have control over. In a life where a lot is not under our control, this is an important tool.

If there is any way to relay my message to Fatmire, I would truly appreciate it. She is inspiring to me. As a father of two daughters, I hope that they can embody peace, help others, and I try to teach them that love and understanding are the steps down the right path.

Fatmire, while I cannot empathize with your experience, I feel your pain and hurt for you. Simultaneously, I so admire your strength and your choice to turn something so horrible into an opportunity for positivity. Thank you. I have forward both the CNN article from today, and your speech to those whom I care about, and challenged them to help and to lead together.

In closing, I reach out to you share something I wrote, and offer to help in some way. While financial may not be truly possible for me right now, I can do other things. Let me know on that front.

It can be a gift to others to share our own light
It can be a gift to others to help with their sight

It can create an invitation to share time and space
It can encourage a friendship at a specific time and place

I hope you stand, breathe, and enjoy the light of your friends
